Taegwang Industry with 50 years of history is that of challenges to expand business areas into electronics and petro-chemical fields while leading high-growth of Korean economy through textile industries. Since the pioneering foundation by the former Chairman Lee Yim Yong in 1950, Taegwang Industry has grown as a total textile manufacturer encompassing the entire textile industries ranging from synthetic fibers like acrylic, nylon, spandex to spinning, weaving and processing. Furthermore, vertical integration was completed in 1995 by operating large-sized petro-chemical plants such as PTA, Propylene, AN thus realized the dream of integrating textiles for the first time in Korea. The brilliant growth of Taegwang in 1970~80s improved reliability and trust and firmly established as the top company in Korea from various management evaluations, and it became the basis for continued growth of Taegwang Group through successful diversifications into electronics and finance, broadcasting and communication and information technology. Taegwang Industry will push through ever-increasing era of limitless competition through enhancement of responsible management and endless management innovation and searching for opportunities for new businesses. We will put our effort into becoming ‘Blue Chip Taegwang’ with new readiness and the spirit of challenge based on tradition carried on for a half-century and with strong management.
